Summer, Sun, Sorolla
There's a reason to celebrate! 15 years ago, we set out to fill a gap in the German-language magazine landscape. In January 2012, the first issue of The Heritage Post was published – today, it's a coveted collector's item. Since then, a wonderful community of individualists, quality lovers, and curious explorers has grown around our magazine. We are celebrating this anniversary with the 60th issue of The Heritage Post.
Close to the Water
Issue number 60 is all about summer and water. We discover fascinating water sports – from the supreme discipline of surfing to hydrofoiling and body rafting –, dare to jump into the Rhine, dream of a house by the lake, and dedicate ourselves to arguably the most underrated beverage of all: mineral water. This summer journey is accompanied by the unique light moods of the Spanish painter Joaquín Sorolla, whose works capture summer in all its facets like no other.
Stylish by the Sea and in the City
In terms of fashion, this issue is also all about summer. Airy sandals provide pleasant freshness, the tank top becomes a stylish statement, and Fatigue Pants prove more versatile than ever. We are particularly excited about the French brand Sports d'Époque, which translates rugby tradition and classic sportswear into modern everyday wear. The look is rounded off by the exciting history of the distinctive Mexican Biker Rings and the extraordinary eyewear from Jacques Marie Mage, which combine artisanal perfection and strong character design.
Summer Delights
Summer means indulgence. Whether at the outdoor pool or the beach – fries with mayonnaise are simply a must. We show why classic mayonnaise is much better than its reputation, how easy it is to make yourself, and what surprising dishes can be conjured up with it – from potato salad to Karaage-Don. We also dedicate ourselves to homemade ice cream, with and without an ice cream maker, and remember a sweet treat that for many is inextricably linked to their childhood: the Lick Shell.
People, Brands & Stories
This issue connects summer, water, and vacation with culture, fashion, and music. Look forward to portraits, interviews, and reports on, among other things:
-

Health with Humor
In the "Poison Cabinet", we once again humorously address sensitive health topics – honestly, directly, and with a good dose of humor. This issue is about our skin and proper care, the German classic Weleda, and of course, what everyone probably knows from their summer vacation: sunburn. Why we sometimes look like a human lobster and how to do it better, you can find out in this issue.
